Bike Fitting in Alfaz del Pi

Your bike is designed for efficiency. Your body, however, is not always prepared to spend hours on it without consequences if your position is not correct.

Knee pain, lower back overload, neck tension, numb hands or loss of performance often share a common origin: a riding position that does not properly adapt to your anatomy, your pedalling style or your injury history.

At Atfisio, we carry out bike fitting sessions combining clinical physiotherapy, body assessment and real-time analysis technology, with one clear goal: to help you ride with more comfort, efficiency and safety.

Bike fitting at Atfisio

What is bike fitting?

Bike fitting studies how your body and your bicycle interact to find a more balanced, efficient and sustainable position over time.

It’s not just about “sitting better on the bike”. It’s about adapting the bike to you: your mobility, body proportions, possible asymmetries, physical history and the type of cycling you practice.

A proper position not only improves your riding experience. It also helps prevent injuries, distribute loads more effectively and make the most of every pedal stroke.

Who is this for?

  • Road cyclists, MTB, gravel, triathlon or recreational riders
  • People experiencing discomfort or pain while cycling
  • Cyclists with previous injuries, surgeries or mobility limitations
  • Those buying a new bike and wanting to start with the right position
  • Athletes looking to improve performance without compromising their health

How do we perform the bike fitting?

Each session is fully individual and personalised. We don’t use generic setups: we analyse how you ride and what your body needs to perform better on the bike.

  • Initial interview
We discuss your cycling type, training volume, goals, sensations and current or past discomfort.
  • Physical assessment
We evaluate joint mobility, flexibility, motor control, asymmetries, compensations and possible tension points.
  • Dynamic bike analysis
We observe your pedalling and measure angles and movement patterns using specialised real-time software.
  • Personalised adjustments
We work on variables such as saddle height and setback, cleat position, stem length, hand support and the relationship between torso, pelvis and legs.

In many cases, just a few millimetres can make the difference between riding with discomfort or feeling your bike as a natural extension of your body again.

Clinical expertise applied to cycling

Thanks to Alberto Tomé’s specialised training at Cyclistlab Academy and his experience as a physiotherapist, bike fitting is not interpreted only through data or angles, but through a real clinical perspective.

This means understanding what lies behind a posture, a compensation or recurring discomfort. We don’t look for a purely aesthetic or theoretical position, but a functional, sustainable and personalised one.

The body speaks even before pain appears. Sometimes it’s not a lack of fitness or excessive training — it’s simply a position that needs adjustment so you can ride again with freedom, control and confidence.

“A proper position on the bike doesn’t just improve performance — it protects your body in the medium and long term. What you don’t see also matters.”

— Alberto Tomé

Technical analysis and personalised adjustment

The technological part of the study allows us to precisely observe how your body behaves while pedalling and to validate each adjustment with clear criteria. It’s not about randomly moving components, but about understanding how your posture responds in real time.

This technical approach, combined with clinical assessment, allows for finer and more effective adjustments: better alignment, more efficient movement and a bike that truly works in favour of your body.

Frequently asked questions about bike fitting

Here are some common questions before booking a bike fitting assessment.

What is a bike fitting assessment? +
It is a complete analysis of your position on the bike to improve pedalling efficiency, reduce the risk of injury and increase comfort during training or competition.
How long does a bike fitting session take? +
A full bike fitting session usually takes between 1.5 and 2 hours. During the appointment, we assess your posture, mobility and pedalling technique, and make the necessary adjustments to your bike.
Do I need to bring my own bike? +
Yes. The assessment is carried out on your own bike so that every adjustment can be adapted to your body, your setup and the way you actually ride.
Can bike fitting help prevent injuries? +
Yes. An incorrect position on the bike can lead to discomfort in the knees, back, neck or hands. A proper bike fitting helps reduce overload and lowers the risk of pain and injury.
How often should I repeat the assessment? +
It is a good idea to review your position from time to time, especially if you change bike, make important equipment changes or start to notice discomfort while riding.
Do you offer bike fitting in Alicante? +
Yes. We offer bike fitting assessments at our clinic in Alfaz del Pi, Alicante, including body assessment, pedalling analysis and personalised bike adjustments.
Can cyclists come from other areas such as Valencia or Murcia? +
Yes. Many cyclists travel from different parts of the Valencian Community and nearby regions such as Murcia or Albacete to optimise their position and improve comfort and performance on the bike.
Is bike fitting suitable for both road cycling and mountain biking? +
Yes. The assessment is adapted to the type of cycling you do, whether road, mountain bike, gravel or triathlon, taking into account the demands of each discipline.
Can bike fitting improve comfort and pedalling efficiency? +
Yes. A better position on the bike can improve comfort, make pedalling more efficient and help your body work with less unnecessary strain over time.
